Amazing News!!

Okay first of all I am so sorry I have not posted anything in awhile. There has been a lot going on and have completely forgot about my blog. I have had high blood pressure for the past month or so and has been rising. I was admitted this past Friday into the hospital for high blood pressure and protein in my urine. They ruled our pre-ecclampsia (or however you spell it) so they sent me home at about 6 p.m. on Saturday. Well I just had my regular appointment and my blood pressure is still high. He sent me home and told me not to go back to work. He just called me and informed me that I will be induced this Wednesday morning!!! We are so excited. I just ask that y'all keep us in prayer this week!! Love y'all and miss you very much!

Update

Good . everyone!! Well we have an update on what is going on with the Rogers' household. Two weeks ago I had to go to the emergency room. I was having the worst cramps I have ever had, some pressure on my left side and some bleeding so my doctor told me to go in immediately. Andrew was babysitting a special needs boy at the time so he couldn't drive me in and my doctor would NOT left me drive myself so my father-in-law drove me in. They did all kinds of testing and everything came out normal...praise GOD!! But they didn't have a clue where the blood came from, a little unsettling but what can you do?? He did say that it might be a repercussion from getting hit in the stomach over a month ago. So I was suppose to work the overnight that night but my boss said she'd feel more comfortable if I stayed home and rested. The next day human resources called and asked what happened. They had no idea I was having a rough pregnancy. Well they faxed my job qualifications to my doctor to get approval for me to continue working in that atmosphere. My doctor called me stating he had no idea how intense and physical it was. So naturally he declined me going back to work on full duty. I was relieved but yet started to get really nervous because I had no idea what that meant for me having a job. So HR told me to continue the rest of the week as normal but that there'd be someone doing the overnight with me to make sure there was no way for me to get hurt. At this point I can honestly say I truly gave it to God. I knew I couldn't do anything and it was all Him. Plus every time I started worrying I ended up cramping badly (it was another incentive to give it to God). I literally didn't stress about it the rest of the time. So this Monday HR called me to ask me to come in on my day off to talk...a little nervous about this but still had faith in God. They told me that had an opening in the daycare at work (which is the employees kids from about 2 months-4 year olds) but they only had 25 hours a week available. I immediately thought we can't survive on that...but God has us under his wing. So Wednesday I went back to work and they told me that arranged it where I can work 40 hrs a week where I start on Monday!!! God totally took over and protected us in a way I didn't think was possible!! Needless to say the last 2 weeks have been a roller coaster but it is so amazing to see how God works...especially when you put your whole entire faith in him! I hope everyone is doing great and we miss you very much...love y'all!!

Wow...

I guess it has been quite a while since my last entry. I apologize for that. It always gets a little hectic around the holidays. We had a lot going on as you can imagine. Well we went to Texas for a total of 10 days and it was amazing. I really had a hard time coming back. On December 23rd something happened at work that truly scared Andrew and I. One of our biggest boys who is 6'5 and 250 lbs open handed slapped me straight in the uterus. I immediately was cramping and it didn't stop for about 40 minutes. I was sent to the school nurse who then insisted I called my doctor. I had decided I would wait to call Andrew until I knew what the doctor wanted. Well the doctor had to call me back at work and endedup calling Andrew's phone and wanted to know more details about his wife being hit in the stomach (needless to say poor Andrew had a heartattack). When I finally talked to the doctor myself, he told me since I had been cramping for so long to come in immediately. So my boss drove me the doctor as we met Andrew there. He did several tests and was very thorough. He told me that my baby and I were completely safe. I thanked him but told him I would like to see it for myself for peace of mind. He then called in a favor and was able to squeeze me in for an ultrasound so I could see our baby. Well to my dismay, something even more amazing happned. They gave us the best Christmas present ever by informing us we were having a girl! What started as the scariest time for us, ended with such a blessing.

Since then, we've been trying to keep it slow and calm for me at work. I am still really tense around the boy who hit me so they're keeping me away from him..obviously. Plus my work is being very understanding of everything.

We have started a registry at Babies R Us and decided we wanted to arrange our nursery in seige green and a chocolate brown. Andrew finished painting it this week and this morning put the crib together. It is finally starting to feel like a nursery. We are so excited. Raider doesn't understand what is going on but he is liking the fact that my belly is getting bigger so he can rest on it lol. Well I think that is it for now. I'll try to be better of updating everyone. I love you all very much and miss you!!!
